PERSONAL FINE
ARTS INSURANCE
Flather & Perkins provides coverage for personal collections throughout the
world. Because we provide coverage for some of the finest galleries, museums
and antiques dealers, we stay on top of the market, monitoring values and
providing in-depth knowledge few other companies can provide. This knowledge is
eclipsed only by our unparalleled level of service.
- Each account is individually underwritten to ensure the insurance
coverage provided are tailored to the specific needs of the client.
- Each account is reviewed annually to adjust coverage, should there be any
changes in actual exposures
- All policies are written on an "All Risk" and automatically include
breakage coverage.
- Policies are available on either a Scheduled or Blanket basis. Scheduled
policies provide a pre-agreed amount on every item covered. This helps to
pre-qualify a loss before it happens. The Blanket policy provides a total loss
limit, and the valuation of individual items are determined at the time of loss -
based upon the current cash market value of the item(s) involved. Blanket
policies are generally subject to a maximum per item limit ($2,500, $5,000, or
$10,000 each) and usually require more work for the insured at the time of loss.
- Coverage is provided
on a world-wide basis.
- Policies are
usually written with no deductibles.
- Such a policy provides automatic coverage for new acquisitions up to 25%
of the total amount of the current Fine Arts coverage for a period of up to 90
days from acquisition.
- As each account is underwritten individually, rates can vary
substantially based upon location, composition of the collection, fire protection,
security, and loss history.
